Segeltörns : new adventures await on Lake Geneva!

The Segeltörns Hope Segeltörns are back for an unforgettable experience in the heart of the enchanting landscapes of Lake Geneva. From July 3 to 7, 2023, and July 15 to 19, 2023, 58 young people in remission from cancer will board the sailing ships of hope for an enriching journey through the art of sailing, in a safe and stimulating environment! This will be an opportunity for them to meet other young people who have faced the same challenge, to regain their self-confidence, and to discover the taste of independence!

The adventure will begin in Lausanne in early July, with a memorable five-day, four-night trip. This year, our Segeltörns faithful to Lake Geneva and offer something new for our young sailors: the port of Evian. After days of sailing and all kinds of activities, the sailboats will return to port each evening, following a predefined itinerary, to offer the sailors and their companions a wonderful evening of sharing and a good night's rest. The breathtaking landscapes of Lake Geneva will serve as the backdrop for moments of exchange, discovery, and escape. A big thank you to the ports of Ouchy, Pully, Evian, Vieux-Rhône, and La Tour-de-Peilz for offering our young crews safe places to spend the night on the lake!

On board each boat, our young passengers will be accompanied by a professional skipper and an instructor, all with rich and varied backgrounds. Whether they're restaurateurs, police inspectors, biologists or child psychiatrists, our Léman hope skippers and instructors each bring their own unique perspective and approach.

Volunteers

We are always looking for committed volunteers to join our team and support our Segeltörns. Whether you want to give an hour, a day, or even a longer-term commitment, every contribution counts in helping Léman hope achieve its mission. You can help in many different ways, whether it's supervising young people on board the sailboats or on land, helping with logistics, or sharing your professional skills. Every gesture counts and makes a significant difference in the lives of children!
