Sailing Trips : New adventures are on the horizon on Lake Geneva!

The Sailing Trips Hope Sailing Trips are back for an unforgettable experience amidst the enchanting landscapes of Lake Geneva. From July 3–7, 2023, and July 15–19, 2023, 58 young people in remission from cancer will set sail on the “Sailboats of Hope” for an enriching journey through the art of sailing, in a safe and inspiring environment! This is an opportunity for them to meet other young people who have faced the same challenges, to regain their self-confidence, and to discover the joy of independence!

The trip will set sail from Lausanne in early July for a 5-day, 4-night adventure that will be a memory to cherish. This year, our Sailing Trips on Lake Geneva and have a new destination in store for our young sailors: the port of Evian. After days of sailing and all kinds of activities, the sailboats will return to port each evening, following a pre-determined itinerary, to offer the young sailors and their chaperones a wonderful evening of togetherness, as well as a good night’s rest. The breathtaking landscapes of Lake Geneva will thus serve as the backdrop for moments of connection, discovery, and escape. A big thank you to the ports of Ouchy, Pully, Evian, Vieux-Rhône, and La Tour-de-Peilz for providing our young crews with secure berths for these nights on the lake!

On board each boat, our young passengers will be accompanied by a professional skipper and an instructor, all with rich and varied backgrounds. Whether they're restaurateurs, police inspectors, biologists or child psychiatrists, our Léman hope skippers and instructors each bring their own unique perspective and approach.

Volunteers

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team and support our Sailing Trips. Whether you’d like to donate an hour, a day, or even commit to a longer-term role, every contribution counts in helping Léman Hope fulfill its mission. You can help in a variety of ways, whether by mentoring young people on board the sailboats or on land, assisting with logistics, or sharing your professional skills. Every little bit helps and makes a significant difference in the lives of these children!
